Joe Meyer Named Firm President
Selden Fox is very pleased to announce that as of October 1, 2018, Joe Meyer will serve as the firm’s president. Joe started his career at Selden Fox in 1988.
Joe serves a variety of clients as business advisor and partner. He works with privately held entities, private investment companies, family offices, nonprofits and governmental entities. Joe provides assurance, tax compliance and planning, and consulting services — including cost accounting analysis, business process improvements and strategic planning. Joe maintains that whether he is auditing financial statements, providing tax strategies or managing a due-diligence project, understanding the client’s business and engaging in the overall strategy of the organization are the keys to providing the most effective and valuable service to the client.
Joe earned his Bachelor of Science in accounting from Millikin University in Decatur. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society. He has served on the board of directors of various nonprofit organizations. Joe succeeds Bill Weigel, who has served as president since 2006 and is retiring from public accounting.
