Join us for our first in-person conference since January 2020. MGI North America’s 2021 Annual Conference will connect member firms from across the United States and Canada. There will be ample opportunities to catch-up with friends, network, learn and be inspired – all while you enjoy the spirit and excitement of Austin!

There is a two-step registration process:

  2. Click here to book your hotel room at a special group rate of $299/night.


Wednesday, November 17, 2021: CPE Day

7:30 am: Breakfast

9:00 am-5:00pm: CPE sessions – Sessions in A&A and Tax will be presented by professional speakers. There will be plenty of time for additional networking during a private lunch buffet, breaks, and afternoon breakout sessions on the topics addressed during the day.

3:00 pm – 5:00 pm: MGI–CPAAI NA Management Group meeting

6:00pm: Dinner – A group dinner will take place at Moonshine Grill. We’ll enjoy delicious food and drinks on the covered patio.

Approximately 7 CPE credits will be earned

Thursday, November 18, 2021: General Sessions

6:45 am: Breakfast

8:00 am – 5:00 pm: General Session

Keynote Speaker – Back by popular demand is U.S. Olympian Johnny Quinn! During our virtual NA Conference, Johnny presented a very lively, exhilarating, and motivational keynote address. In Austin, Johnny will address our group in-person. He will continue to engage and inspire our members with a new presentation, share his insights and experiences, and interact with attendees.

Practice Management – Roundtables on the most pressing issues and trends in the public accounting industry (3-hours)

New Members – Welcome and introductions

NA and International Leadership – Accomplishments in 2021 and insights on what to expect in 2022 to continue the strategic plan, Q&A session

6:00 pm: Dinner – Our evening event will be dinner and networking at Fixe Southern House restaurant at 6:00 pm. Fixe specializes in upscale Southern food in a very beautiful setting with elegant lighting and décor, and exceptional service. Not to be missed at Fixe: their Southern style homemade biscuits topped with a variety of sweet and savory treats.

Friday, November 19, 2021 – General Sessions

7:00 am: Breakfast

7:45 am: Managing Partner meeting – Issues that keep MPs up at night

9:00 am – 4:30 pm: General Session

Marketing – Nancy Damato, NA Marketing Director, and Maxine Brock, MGI Worldwide Marketing Director, will present the growth and marketing strategies for 2022, the member enhancement program, overview of the marketing Zoom calls, the NA and Worldwide websites, and social media.

Practice Management – As a follow-up to Thursday’s Practice Management Roundtable sessions, a “Best Practices Panel Discussion” will be held on topics such as Recruiting & Retention, Succession Planning and Leadership, Transitioning and Planning, Managing Staff Performance, Technology, and Growth, etc.

Committees – The Chairperson’s and Committee members for the A&A, Tax, Practice Management, and Firm Administration/HR Committees, will discuss hot topics and include breakout sessions.

4:30 pm: Cocktail Reception – Meet in the lounge by the lobby for networking and socializing.

6:00pm: Music and Drinks – Head to Bangers Barbeque and Beer Garden for the evening. We will have a private area on their famous balcony overlooking their huge courtyard, complete with ample seating, firepits, plenty of food and drinks, and live music.

Visit Austin’s Famous 6th Street on the way back to the hotel. Walk up and down the most famous street in Austin, Texas and you’ll understand why it’s called the Live Music Capital of the World®.
