We are working with Spiirall, a leading learning and development company specializing in the public accounting industry, to present a virtual program that would be beneficial for current and future young leaders at your Firm.
DATES
The program will take place over three days:
Wednesday, May 8th from 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM ET
Thursday, May 9th from 1:00 PM – 4:30 PM ET
Friday, May 10th from 1:00 PM – 4:30 PM ET
PROGRAM
Prior to the first virtual session, participants will be sent a link to take the Everything DiSC Management Assessment. The resulting Everything DiSC Management Profile offers participants insight into their strengths and challenges as managers, and how to adapt their style to meet the needs of the people they manage—making them more effective managers. In this 27-page profile, participants will discover their DiSC® Management style, explore strategies for effective directing and delegating, improve their working relationship with their own manager, and more. The results will be incorporated throughout the program to provide participants with a personalized learning experience. Participants will walk away with concrete strategies to help them adapt to the styles of their direct reports, enabling them to bring out the best in their people.
There will be five 90-minute sessions on the following topics:
- The Critical Shift: Participants will review the results of their DiSC assessments then delve into the importance of making the critical mindset shift from “I’m and employee of the firm” to “I AM the firm.” They’ll learn to move from DOING to BEING and take ownership of their leadership role.
- Building a Foundation of Trust: Trust is the foundation for effective human interaction and is an essential component in the supervisor/supervisee relationship. A solid foundation of trust helps leaders to gain buy-in and loyalty with employees.
- Leading Others Through Change: When we recognize that change follows a predictable pattern, we can learn to manage our reactions and understand how to navigate change, both functionally and emotionally. This allows us to consciously determine how to best move forward—even in the most challenging stages.
- Giving and Receiving Feedback: Professionals strive to improve their skills, and a focus on improving your giving and receiving feedback skills is important. Learn how to give and receive feedback, whether it is with peers, team members or your manager. This session will explore how to maximize the opportunity feedback can provide to improve your performance and the performance of others.
- Employee Retention Strategies: This dynamic seminar, based on years of research, takes into account the busy, demanding schedule of a leader and offers knowledge and practical tools critical for maintaining our greatest asset, exceptional employees.
