Harik Thompson Welcomes Shylesh Viswanathan, CPA, as new Principal

Torrance, CA, January 15, 2024 – Harik Thompson CPAs and Advisors proudly welcome Shylesh Viswanathan,  CPA, to our leadership team as Principal. Shylesh is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of public accounting and private industry experience. He began his career with a boutique accounting firm in West Los Angeles where he was a Tax Manager specializing in the complex real estate landscape. He also dedicated 17 years as a Controller and Chief Financial Officer in real estate development and investment firms.

Shylesh specializes in business taxation, accounting, and advisory services, including outsourced CFO and controller services. He has significant experience assisting real estate investors, family offices, and private firms. For these clients, Shylesh reviews partnership and financing agreements, provides accounting services for complex debt and equity transactions, analyzes real estate proformas, reviews monthly portfolio reports, facilitates estate planning transfers and gifts, and processes large volumes of multi-tiered entity tax returns.

He is a board member of Healthcare and Elder Law Programs (H.E.L.P.), a not-for-profit organization providing free education, counseling, and referral sources to South Bay seniors and their families. Shylesh earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a Minor in Accounting from the University of California Los Angeles. Shylesh is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and the California Society of CPAs (CalCPA). Shylesh has been a South Bay community member for over four decades and currently resides in the Palos Verdes Peninsula with his wife and two sons. Beyond his professional endeavors, Shylesh enjoys coaching his sons in sports, photography, and is an avid motorcyclist.
